To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic.
It is based on the fact that human history is a history of
compassion, sacrifice, courage, and kindness.

Dear Dingeman Families,
Spring has finally arrived! There are wonderful activities in store for us, including the Book Fair, Mother-Son Night, the Art Show, Bob Dingeman Day, and the Spring Carnival.
In addition, we are also beginning to look ahead to the 2008-09 school year. In spite of the budget shortfalls throughout the state of California, the Dingeman staff is committed to providing a high quality education for our students. The exemplary teamwork that is in place at Dingeman is the reason I am so confident that we will maintain a consistent focus on what is best for children.
A committee of Dingeman teachers assisted me with planning our school goals and budget for the 2008-09 school year. In spite of the reductions, the actions to support our site goals ensure academic rigor and continued professional learning at the site. Continuous improvement in academic achievement is our primary goal. Education is extremely important to our community. I remain hopeful.
We have so much to be grateful for at Dingeman. We teach bright and articulate children, enjoy the unwavering support of an actively involved community, and work on a team of dedicated professionals who tirelessly strive to provide a vibrant and stimulating education for all students. In spite of the tumultuous times, we are capable of making a positive impact on our world. Standing together as proud members of the Dingeman community is our greatest comfort and our greatest strength.
On behalf of the Dingeman staff, I thank you for your dedication to our school. Teamwork is what makes our school great, and I have high hopes that our tradition of excellence will continue!
Sincerely,
Jerrilee Fischer-Garza
