What’s your favorite book? Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Flat Stanley, Junie B. Jones?
Browse the Dingeman Book Fair in the Multi-Purpose Room March 22 - March 26 to buy your favorite books. And join us on our family night, Wednesday, March 24, where some of our favorite teachers will be reading books. Raffles will be held away every 15 minutes!
Dingeman volunteers work in conjunction with Scholastic Books to offer a full week of book exploration. You can help out by straightening up books, assisting students in selecting books, and setting up and tearing down the book fair.
All Book Fair proceeds go to purchase books for Dingeman's Library and Teachers. Last year we purchased over $9,000 in books!

Dingeman Teacher Honored with Teacher Dedication Award!
Congratulations to one of our fabulous Dingeman teachers, Christine Millar Zuñiga, who has been honored with an Outstanding Teacher Dedication award in the second annual “I’m Thankful for My Teacher” county-wide campaign!!! The campaign was sponsored by Mission Federal Credit Union, Cox Cable, and Junior Achievement in November of 2009 to acknowledge San Diego county teachers for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm in their “mission to educate” our local students and future generations.
Mission Federal Credit Union branches received an overwhelming 7,345 student and parent thank you notes, submitted on behalf on of more than 800 teachers from 152 area schools! This total represents an incredible 84% increase from last year, which was a national and international award-winning campaign. It is a testament to the value and impact our teachers have in the lives of their students and their families.
Ms. Millar Zuñiga has been teaching for 9 years, 6 of those years at Dingeman Elementary. She currently teaches 5th grade but has also taught 4th and 6th grades at Dingeman. “I have never taught with such an amazing group of professionals or worked with such incredible families as I have at Dingeman Elementary”, said Ms. Millar Zuniga. “I feel truly blessed to make a difference in these children's lives and am humbled by this award and outpouring of love."
